WEBSTER COUNTY, KY - Just as the Webster County School District prepares to open the new addition of its high school, a new school year is set to begin. Tuesday, Aug. 3 is the first day of school.

Webster County School District Assistant Superintendent Riley Ramsey said approximately 1,970 students are expected to fill the halls of the district's six campuses this year. The projected number doesn't include pre-K, he added.
